The city as we experience it on an ordinary December day, as we remember it from childhood and, just a little, as we dream it might be. A meeting of the vibrant present, centuries of history and the warmth of familiar faces.

We have brought everything we love about Christmas in Prague to life on a specially commissioned sheet of wrapping paper, created for your Pigmentarium gifts. The illustration is the work of Kristýna Šťastová, a graphic design student at Prague’s Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM). She sees the world much as we do, so there was little need for explanation. The atmosphere we know so well has found its way onto paper. The illustration offers a view from Palacký Bridge, just a short walk from the Pigmentarium studio. Look closely and you will discover our Oratorio fragrance, Tomáš Ric with his dog Azánek, and even a Prague tram fading into the distance. Presiding over it all are the words of Saint Augustine: “Love, and do what you will.” A reminder of our belief that those who follow their hearts rarely lose their way. Only 2,000 sheets have been produced. Christmas is hardly a time for rushing, but on this occasion, we might suggest not lingering too long.
