AEREO LIMITED EDITION FOR JAPAN
Pigmentarium’s latest creation, AEREO, is unveiled today, October 5, in Tokyo in a limited artistic edition created exclusively for the Japanese market.
Memorable, distinctive, innovative. Aereo is a fragrance of calm and introspection. As impossible to overlook as silence itself. To mark the first anniversary of Pigmentarium’s arrival in the Land of the Rising Sun, the Prague perfume house presents a project that captures the very essence of its creative vision.
The Aereo bottle and packaging are reimagined in a unique collector’s edition. Michaela Fenkl was invited to interpret the energy of the fragrance through her art. Known for her distinctive visual approach to poetry, she gives her words an additional artistic dimension. This is not the artist’s first collaboration with Pigmentarium. A personal relationship between Michaela and the brand began to take shape in 2023, when she created the first limited edition of Paradiso. Several years later, their paths cross again in Japan, where Michaela took part in an artist residency last year and is making the country her permanent home this autumn. As a Czech artist gradually immersing herself in Japanese culture and language, Michaela becomes a natural bridge between the Prague perfume house and its Japanese audience.

Michaela approached the new design of the bottle and box as a personal interpretation of Aereo. She describes it as the Pigmentarium fragrance that feels closest to her own taste and sensibility. Perhaps this is also because she discovered Aereo at a time of profound change in her life and a move to the other side of the world. A fragrance as a quiet companion that stays with us along the way. A silence that says more than words. The poetic work presented on the fragrance packaging reflects the experience of a European woman moving her life and creative practice to Japan: immersing herself in a new culture, working with a new language, and embracing the emotions that accompany a journey far from family and towards a new love. The poem “Silence, Half Spoken” appears on the box in Japanese and Czech, deliberately leaving out English as the universally understood language.

Released in a strictly limited edition and available exclusively in 50 ml, Aereo x Michaela Fenkl (Mi-Ka) is now available in Japan at ÈDIT(h) stores and Isetan Shinjuku department store. For Pigmentarium clients outside Japan, the edition is available exclusively online at www.pigmentarium.com (until the edition sells out).
